What better than a bottle of whisky for Christmas? Why, a whole cask of whisky of course!

Naturally, a cask of whisky is too large to fit under your tree, let alone in your stocking, but perhaps we can ask the warehouse to pop a sprig of holly on top of it, and that’ll be just as good.

We’re delighted to bring you the Cask 88 Christmas auction, the fifth of our online cask auctions. There are twelve casks in the lineup this year, one for each of the days of Christmas. We just can’t help wanting to get festive at this time of year.

There is a great selection of casks in this auction, encompassing almost the entire spread of ages that whisky can show. The youngest has just had its 4th birthday, celebrating a year’s anniversary of being whisky. The oldest has seen 45 Christmases maturing in its cask – placing it among the pantheon of the rarest and oldest Scotch whiskies.
